Eva & Good Friends
(Japanese Sony Playstation game - 1999)

Graphic: (10/10 - ABSOLUTELY great!!)
Trama:
(8/10 - Well...it's a fab idea)
Is it nice to play?:
??? (-/- - don't know)
How long will I play with it?:
??? (-/- - don't know)

Comments: Mmm...what a strange title JJ . But let's get a look to the story (from Nadia's side, of course JJJ)

Intro...

Jean and Nadia are living with Elektra, Marie, and King. Nadia doesn't care for it, though. To make things worse, Jean is caught up in his inventions, and has no clue how Nadia feels.
Jean shows Nadia his inventions. She doesn't seem very interested.

Jean has no idea at all why Nadia is so miserable. Just then, King comes along with a flyer for the mah jongg tournament in his teeth. Upon seeing it, Nadia starts badgering Jean to enter. Jean decides to go along with it, if it'll make Nadia feel better. "What's that in your mouth, King?" "Well, King picked it up over there. There's something written on it."
"Hey, Jean! If you win this contest, we can get a home just for us!"

Rounds 1 and 2

Jean trains with the "Automated Mah Jongg Machine" which he invented, so as to make Nadia's dream come true. At last comes the day of the tournament.
Upon meeting Ritsuko, his first-round opponent, Jean is floored by her grown-up charms. Nadia is shocked by how well they seem to be getting along. "Jean can get along well with anyone!"
Seeing them like this makes her beside herself with jealousy. What will become of Jean?

Rounds 3 and 4

Jean makes his way through the tournament. But his friendliness with all of his opponents only adds fuel to Nadia's jealousy.

(Jean...I just don't know anymore...Do you really love me? Tell me, Jean...)

But...is Nadia right?

Nah...JJJ

Good things: Well, first of all the graphic and that FAB promotional movie I was able to see from Gainax site featuring images of the game on the notes of Evangelion opening track. Then...Oh, of course the idea of possible mah jongg fights between Eva, GunBuster & Nadia's characters.

Bad things: as ever, the Japanese only language and the fact it runs on JAPANESE playstation...
