Hello, again
By Lady Athena
Hello, Again
Jean stood on a cliff, looking out at the blue sea. He was twenty
and he hadn't seen her for two years.
He sighed as he remembered her, like he often did. He could
remember how she felt in his arms, how they kissed, and how
beautiful she was. He mostly remembered her eyes and how green
and expressive they could be in the sunlight.
He hung his head low. He should have left with her that day. He
should have told her how he felt.
"I miss her," he murmured. And he did, he really did.
Their last adventure was something he'd cherish for all time.
Jean heard footsteps behind him. Thinking it was his uncle; he
turned around, expecting to see a man with a brown mustache.
Instead, he saw a girl his age with dark skin, black hair, and
large, piercing green eyes. She was wearing the dress he had last
seen her in.
"Nadia!" he exclaimed, emotionally. He felt his heart
pounding so fast by the very sight of her.
Nadia dropped her bags and wrapped her slender arms around his
shoulders.
"I told you I'd come back, after I finished my book,"
she said, her eyes shining with tears.
Jean held her tightly to himself. "You kept your
promise."
The two held each other, while attempting to sink in everything
about the other.
Nadia pulled back slightly, but let her arms rest around Jean's
neck.
"You have no idea how much I missed you," she told him,
her voice thick with something he could not recognize.
"Nadia, I need to tell you something. I need to tell you
this before you leave again," he said, looking right into
her eyes.
"I'm never leaving you again," she said. "When we
were on that ship, I told you I couldn't live without you. I
meant every word of it."
"Do you could you love me?" he asked, hopefully.
Nadia chuckled softly. "I have for a long time, silly."
Jean took a deep breath. "I love you, too."
"So you never had feelings for that Fuzzy girl?"
"I never felt for her, what I feel for you," he replied
as he placed a hand on her right cheek.
"Jean?"
"Yes, Nadia?"
"Are you ever going to kiss me?"
He grinned sheepishly at her. She looked at him with a smirk
playing on her lips. She could tell that he was nervous.
"Jean, sometime this year would be nice," she said,
grinning.
Jean laughed nervously. "Umm
right." So, he
lowered his mouth onto hers. Nadia felt her heart soar as she
kissed him back.
They had never kissed so intensely before that moment. So much
love and passion flowed through that one kiss, which made it seem
endless and everlasting.
