Episode 26 - "King's on his Own"

In his dream, Jean is introducing his newest inventions to Marie and Nadia...Even if the inventions are the same both in episode 26 and 34, they're shown in a different way. In fact, as you can see below, in the official version, they're lit by two spotlights, contrary to the alternative version where there's any source of light.

Episode 26 - "King's on his Own"

During Nadia's song, in episode 34, a flashback shows Jean & Nadia's first kiss (episode 25) ...BUT it also shows an addictional sequence, cut from the original episode! Nadia, in fact, opens her eyes and focuses Jean's shoulder...Then she looks at a shining star in the sky.

Episode 26 - "King's on his Own"

Another exaple of "modified" image...As you can easily notice, the image on the right (let's call it "the original one"), isn't bright enough for Jean's "artificial sun"...That's why Gainax probably revisited it, adding a lot of light in the background.

Episode 26 - "King's on his Own"

Jean is dreaming about his wonderful (and quite futuristic) inventions. In the official version (on the left), the space background image is different from the one shown during a flashback in episode 34 (on the right). In fact, the first one has a different colour and, above all, it's shown for about 1/100 of second (the red lines, in fact, are the ones of the atom which appears almost immediately), while the other one appears for 1-2 seconds and it's clear.

Episode 29 - "King Vs King"

What a funny moment! You know, when Sanson develops a kind of AT-Field in pure Evangelion style JJ. Getting a look below, you'll surely notice the difference between the official version and the alternative one. This one, in fact, is not centred and -get a look at the bottom of each image on the right- the outline of each cel is visible. Also, the...ehm... AT-Field, in the alternative version, is less powerful.

Episodio 29 - "King Vs King"

So funny! Eaton (Ayrton) talks about the ancient Olympic Games and then suggest a kind of race to solve the quarrel between Sanson and Hanson. But there's only one animal on the island that could be used in a race: King! Eaton looks at...him and our cool pet lion puts on a shocked expression JJ In the alternative version, this sequence is longer than the one which appears in episode 29. In fact, as you can see below: Eaton looks at King...King looks at Eaton....King looks around to see if he's talking with him and ONLY then puts on that expression JJ
