FINALS!!!
(God, I can't believe it!)
Well, it was simply amazing! I had to RE-write this update due to a...a... whow, I really don't know how to call it JJ Let's start from the beginning anyway...
Nadia has, as usually, kicked off her opponent...In this case Madoka Ayukawa from Kimagure Orange Road. The score? Tzè, *just* 304 to 117, with a great 72.2% of votes. Who will she meet for the final victory?....well...
Elektra had the toughest opponent, Rei from Evangelion...And, after a loooong fight she WON (!) with a score of 236 to 230 (50.6%) !!!! Amazing! I can't believe it! Folks, you're great! That means there will be an extraordinary final match: Nadia Vs Elektra!
About the other categories, Jean easily won against a very tough opponent: Vash the Stampede (Trigun) with a score of 264 to 140 (65.3%) And now, there's Ranma!
Fushigi no umi no Nadia [very] easily won against Magic Knight Rayheart with a score of 301 to 81 (78.8%) and now...whow...there will be the epic challange against... Evangelion! No doubts, they are absolutely the best series ever, the ones you won't forget all life long, BUT, as I've said 2 times so far, this is a NADIA related site and NADIA was, is and still will be the BEST! "And Eva?", you may wonder...Well, considering that the winning series can't be re-candidate for next year contest, within 10 months we'll all vote for Evangelion!
So, here are the final matches!

Anyway, today I've added a very useful thing. You know, as written at the bottom of this page, I'd like translating the site (or, at least, most of it) into a few other languages such as French, Spanish, Japanese, German, Korean, Chinese and so on. That's why I was searching for help by Nadia fans out of here. I was contacted by lots of people (really thanks folks!) but, anyway, most of translations were aborted 'cos life can't be dedicated to this site at 100%, can it? JJ I can easily understand how tough this work could be, especially if you consider that the site is quite big and full of text. That's why I decided to change my strategy, putting online a wonderful (...) site map! It won't only describe what this site features (so far, it lists 70% of the contents) but you'll be able to access to any section directly by there!
Apart from this, the site map could be a very useful thing for those who'd like to collaborate with this site and its translation. In fact, it's a kind of table, divided by languages and by sections, and 4 different symbols will indicate if a section has been already translated, if only a part of it's ready so far, if it hasn't be translated at all and/or if someone is already working on it. In this way, you can choose what to translate, even just a page and not the whole site!

40.000 visits! Whow!
Miss Manga: great quarters of final!
Nadia keeps devastating (didn't she hate violence?? J) every opponents! This time the sacrificed victim was Ai Amano (Video Girl Ai) with a good score of 179 to 77, with 69.9% of total votes. Now, in semi-final, she'll challange Madoka Ayukawa (Orange Road). Elektra won against a very tough opponent, Lum (Lamù), with a score of 139 to 112, with 55.4% of total votes. In semifinal, Elektra will challange Rei Ayanami from Eva! ARGH! As I told you last time, before doing anything wrong (voting Rei J), please think that you're visiting a Nadia-related website!! J Seems that Jean really wants the title! He won with a score of 140 to 91 (60.6% of total votes) against H. Sakuragi (Slam Dunk)! And now? A really tough opponent: Vash the Stampede (Trigun)..."The secret of blue water" easily won against Sailor Moon with a score of 178 to 67, with 72.7% of total votes. In semifinal, there's Magic Knight Rayheart and, believe me, this one will be destroyed by the Tower of Babel as well as all the previous opponent series! J

Miss Manga update: change of rules
| Have you noticed something strange in
Miss Manga contest? I did, and that's why you'll find
here a short explanation about what happened and will
happen over there. Seems that, after the latest round, the webmaster of the hosting site noticed lots of fake votes. What's a fake vote? Well, it's when you can vote only once a day and, instead, you use a few tricks to vote about 15-20 times per day!! That's crazy, isn't it?? He checked, and checked and checked and, finally, he put online the real results. He confirmed Nadia, Jean, Electra and "The secret of blue water" victories, but Rei & Asuka lost due to 240 fake votes!! Now I've read the new rules and it seems there won't be any way, luckily, to cheat. In fact, since this round, you can vote once every 12 hours. If you try to re-vote earlier, a short error message will appear, showing you after how many hours you'll be able to vote again. I checked the right results of the latest round, and here are a short table to know better how many fake votes there were...Please note that EVERY character (all but Jean's opponent JJ), apart from Nadia-related ones, not listed here, had lots of fake votes...
So we must keep, keep, keep voting! Hopefully there won't be any more cheats, so only the best will win! And you surely know who are the best in the contest, don't you?? OK FOLKS! (...but we can't stop!)
Miss/Mister Manga contest is going great!
In Miss Manga, Nadia defeated Asuka from Evangelion with a score of 551 to 246 (69.1% of total preferences)! Now it's Ai Amano's (Video Girl Ai) turn but, ehi, Asuka was tougher!
By her site, Elektra, defeated her opponent, Iori Yoshizuki (I's), with a score of 399 a 339, with a suffered but deserved 59.1% of total preferences. She'll now challange Lum from Lamù, a pretty tough opponent!
Mister Manga: Great! Jean defeated Yuu from Marmalade Boy with an awesome score of 439 to 181, with 70.8% of total preferences! Now it's turn of Hanamichi Sakuragi (Slam Dunk).
In Best Series, "The secret of blue water" (aka Fushigi no umi no Nadia in the contest) won against Captain Harlock and it wasn't easy! Score: 453 to 295, col 60.6% of prefereces. Next turn will be easier, I guess, against "Oh my goddess"
AND TODAY (November 22th) IT'S TIME TO KEEP VOTING!

THAT'S GREAT! (so far, at least)

Now... well, now things are tougher...Next round will be Nadia Vs Asuka from Evangelion! Urgh! Before doing anything wrong (voting Asuka), please think that you're visiting a Nadia-related website!! By her site, Elektra, after a wonderful eliminatory turn, defeated her opponent with a score of 243 to 36 (!), with a really good 87% of total preferences. She'll now challange Iori Yoshizuki from "I's"
Mister Manga: well, guys, you're great! Jean was about 40 votes below and you helped him rising up and winning with an incredible score of 242 to 125 (66% of votes). After defeating Dark bla bla from Bastard!! we can't let him lose against against Yuu from Marmalade Boy, can we?

HELP JEAN!!!
In Italy, right now, there's an online competition called "Miss Manga" (also featuring Mister Manga, Best Pair and Best Series). In a few word, it's like the World cup of soccer: two partecipants challange and only one of them pass to next turn. We (the Italian mailing list) all support Nadia, Elektra (for Miss Manga), Jean (for Mister Manga) & the series (for Best series) but, while Nadia & Elektra are easily winning and the series will start challenging since October 30rd, Jean is fighting hard and he's a LOT of votes below his opponent (Dark Schneider from "Bastard!!") and there are just 5 days left (the closing date is October 31) to try a overtaking! Could you surf to this site and support them, especially JEAN, too? The site is in Italian, but it's really easy to vote. Get a look to the image below for more info. Once you click on "Vota!" (on the right), you'll access to another page. Once there, just select your choices between the opponents and, at the bottom of the page, click on "Vota!" (left button) again.

again!! Now "Part 3" will be related only to famous
World art treasures in Neo's throne hall (4 more paintings
recognized). Visiting "Part 4", you'll finally know
something more about the third poster in Elektra's bedroom....Oh,
if you want to receive a couple of different images of the throne
hall, in order to try to identify other paintings, just let me
know.

It's totally off-topic, but I feel I must write something about that incredible tragedy which hit the USA today.
6.000 lives were lost, 6.000 men and women are gone away. Yes, "men and women", because that's the way we use to call a living soul in this Earth...But I refuse to call "man" ANY of those bastards who planned this horror...and "bastards" is still a nice way to call them...
It's even more sad to watch on TV someone who's celebrating the death of thousand and thousand soulds with fire works, processions and happy songs, because they still believe it's a right thing to die killing the "enemies". Seems a paradox, but I was much more shocked watching lots of poeple and children, over there, smiling on streets than watching a 747 crashing down on a skyscraper. You know, we are accustomed to apocalyptic scenes (especialli in N.Y and Washington) due to Hollywood movies, but NO-ONE, ANY civil people can get accustomed to someone else enjoying the death of a fellow-creature.
I was planning to update the site in these days, since I couldn't due to Summer holidays. It's obvious that, even if it can seem "stupid" or "useless", I'll postpone it by a week. I'd like to end this kind of editorial with a passage of a song written by Queen in 1984 and called "Is this the world we created?". Here is:

PLEASE, during August, DON'T send me e-mails with attachments !! I'll be able to check my mailbox every 5-6 days and I've just 3 Mb free so, if the max capacity would be reached, every other message will be deleted.

IT'S READY !!!!!!
After a month of work, the new site is finally ready !! Be free to visit it and don't forget to get a look to the following huge update!!!
Let's start with the HOTTEST thing! "Nadia Vs Atlantis" was so much increased from the original version (Feb. 2001), with tons of new images, new comparison (also featuring Laputa) etc etc It's much more complete than the "preview" I've added a few times ago in the old site!
Whow! A totally new Videogames section with lots of videogames added and, finally, the chance to download the PC98/FM-Tows game!!!
Another restyled section! Credits are now cooler than before! If you ever collaborated with this site, check the list and mail me if you still miss on it!
And what about Downloads?? Apart from a new graphic, you'll find Nadia FIRST EVER ICQ skins !!! And a new backgroud theme: Nebula M78!
Great news on the Bonus Extra (omake) section!! Apart from images of each omake, I've also made better the entire section adding a few other images and...check it by yourself JJJ
You'll also find 3 new cels!
And what about all the stuff I've added to the Merchandise section?? Dozen of new dolls & model kits + a new page with all the telephone cards I've found so far.
New section! YOUR Fan Fiction ! Get a pen and a piece of paper, wirte a fan fiction and you'll see it published here! There's already a fan fiction in French!
Links section now looks cooler than before! You'll also find the new banners you can use to link your site to mine.
I've also added new images here and there, made something better, used better images. Menus are now graphically better and, even though it could seem the site is slower than before, it's not true JJ

-More a question than a news...On April 30, May 1 and May 2 (unfortunately just on these 3 days), the site had a TRIPLE number of daily visitors than usual...I'm going crazy trying to understand why, though I'm more than happy of it JJ So, please, if you knew about this site, for example, from an anime magazine (apart from the French "Animeland"...I already know of it and I'm pretty proud JJ) or any other way different from chanciness/friends etc etc, could you be so kind to inform me? Really thanks!!
-Oh, another news: I'm going to create a section of the site which will features fan fictions in English or any other language. So, if you ever thought "Well, someday one day I've to write a Nadia fan fiction...But how could I let other people read it, supposing I've not a site??", it's a great chance for you JJJ
